مصر ترشح فاروق حسني رئيسا لمنظمة اليونسكو

وافق الرئيس حسني مبارك علي ترشيح السيد فاروق حسني وزير الثقافة لمنصب مدير عام منظمة اليونسكو‏,‏ الذي سيخلو عام‏2009,‏ الذي بدأ الترشيح له من جانب مختلف الدول‏.‏ وصرح السيد فاروق حسني وزير الثقافة بأنه لو تحقق ورأس هذه المنظمة العريقة عام‏2009‏ فسيكون هذا المنصب قد أسند لأول عربي علي الإطلاق‏.‏

المنافسة على التظلم

يبرر شبابنا اليوم تفجير نفسه بالمظالم التاريخية، التي وقعت على العرب من قبل الاستعمار. ولكن مقارنة بالسود، الذين شدوا بالأغلال من أفريقيا إلى مواطن العبودية فى أميركا وأوروبا، وبالهنود الذين رزحوا تحت الاحتلال الانكليزي زمنا طويلا، ومقارنة باليابانيين الذين كانوا ضحية أول قنبلة نووية في تاريخ البشرية، مع هذه المقارنات يبدو حظ العرب أفضل من غيرهم خلال المائتي عام المنصرمة.

مظالم شعوب العالم كثيرة، ونحن ضمن هذا العالم، ولو أن المنطق يحتم أن الانتقام هو الوسيلة الوحيدة لإحقاق الحق ورفع الظلم، لكان من حق شعب هيروشيما، أو من تبقى منه، أن يبيد أميركا كلها لأنها ألقت القنبلة النووية عليه. ولو كان رد الظلم هو الدافع للعنف، لكان من حق السود في الغرب الذين جيء بهم في القيود أن يخربوا ما شاءوا ويقتلوا من شاءوا من بيض البشر، ولكان أيضا من حق الهنود تدمير بريطانيا الاستعمارية عن بكرة أبيها، ولكان من حق الإسبان أن ينتقموا من الاستعمار... (بلاش سيرة إسبانيا لأننا إحنا كنا الاستعمار هناك). هذه الشعوب التي كانت مستعمرة ومستعبدة ناضلت وقاومت لتحقيق أهدافها، فكان النضال وسيلة لا غاية، الغاية كانت أن تنهض من جديد وتبني بلدانها وتحقق التنمية الاقتصادية والرفاهية لأبنائها. وهذا لم يكن ليحدث لولا أنها قررت تجاوز مظالم الماضي من أجل بناء حاضر أفضل وبشكل عقلاني ونقدي أيضا.

«كانوا يأتون بنا إلى العالم الجديد كعبيد مقيدين بالأغلال، أما اليوم فنحن الذين نركب القوارب المهترئة من سواحل أفريقيا، مهددين بالغرق في البحر حتى نصل إلى شواطئ أوروبا»، هكذا قال لي سائق سيارة أجرة سنغالي في لندن، عندما حاولت التعاطف معه من باب أننا إخوة من العالم الثالث، رفض الرجل أن يقبل ذهنية الضحية، بل حمّل بلاده سبب نزوحه. أما نحن فما زال إعلامنا يتحدث عن «أن الجري وراء الحلم الأوروبي هو سبب غرق القوارب وموت المهاجرين الأفارقة والعرب على الشواطئ الإسبانية والإيطالية». السائق السنغالي يطرح الأسئلة الصعبة على نفسه ولا يستسهل الأمر، يرى سخرية القدر في ما يحدث اليوم! فالعبيد الذين كانوا يأتون إلى العالم الجديد مساقين بالسياط والظلم الخارجي، يأتي أحفادهم اليوم إلى أوروبا طواعية وبأعداد أكبر وتكبد مخاطر تصل حد الموت مدفوعين بالظلم الداخلي.

في أحد المؤتمرات القومية الشهيرة، التي تعقد في بيروت، قرر بعض العرب النابهين أن يقطعوا علاقاتهم بالغرب والتوجه شرقا نحو اليابان. الحجة لم تكن التقدم الاقتصادي والتقني الياباني، وإنما كانت بدعوى أن «اليابان ليس لها ماض استعماري». وكأن احتلال اقليم منشوريا الصيني من قبل اليابان عام 1931 لم يحدث. في ذهن هؤلاء، بما أن اليابان لم تحتل بلادنا، إذن ليس لها ماض استعماري، ولا يهم أنها احتلت بلاد غيرنا، أي أنهم لا يرون من المظالم التاريخية إلا ما قد وقع عليهم هم.. منطق لا يستقيم لأحد خارج حدودنا.

لا بد أن نعي أن المجتمع الدولي اليوم يعاني مما أسميه «المنافسة على التظلم». بمعنى أن هذه الكرة الأرضية تعج بصراعات ومنازعات وقضايا إنسانية ملحة جدا، من وجهة نظر أصحابها، وقضيتنا كعرب ما هي إلا واحدة من هذه القضايا. هناك سبعة وثلاثون صراعا ساخنا اليوم في هذا الكون، يلجأ كافة الأطراف في هذه الصراعات إلى الدول الكبرى والمؤثرة متظلمين ومدعين أن قضاياهم في ذيل قائمة اهتمام المجتمع الدولي، وباذلين كل جهدهم لكسب تأييد وتعاطف هذه الدول الكبرى معهم. إذن، ترى مع من من هذه المظالم ستنحاز مراكز ثقل القرار العالمي؟ نحن كعرب نتصور أن قضيتنا عادلة وواضحة وضوح الشمس، ولا داعي أن نتنافس على آذان قادة الدول الكبرى حتى نكسب تأييدهم.. ابتداء من القضية الفلسطينية إلى العراق إلى السودان مرورا بالمعونات، نحن لا نرى داعيا لتوضيح وجهة نظرنا. الحقيقة هي أن وجهة نظرنا واضحة لنا، ولكن هناك الكثير غيرنا ممن لا يفهم لماذا نحن غاضبون. المطلوب اليوم هو أن ندخل حلبة المنافسة على التظلم، ونبذل كل جهدنا لتوصيل وجهة نظرنا، وكفانا إرسال رسائل لأنفسنا في المرآة.

كما أنه لا بد لنا أن ندرك أن القضية الفلسطينية، بما لها من كبير تأثير في العالم العربي تمر اليوم بأدق مراحلها. فرغم ما كان قائما قبل انشطار الكيان الفلسطيني الى قسمين أحدهما في الضفة والآخر في غزة، إلا أن الوضع الإقليمي كان مستقرا. ففي الصراع المنظم حالة من الاستقرار، وهذا ما كان عليه الوضع العالمي عندما كانت هناك حرب باردة بين روسيا وأميركا. نسميه في علم السياسة الدولية، الاستقرار السلبي، لكنه استقرار على كل حال. الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي كان استقرارا رغم سلبيته. أما اليوم وقد اضطربت نواة الصراع في فلسطين، فمعنى ذلك هو حالة إرباك لكل الأطراف واختلال لصيغة الاستقرار السلبي وإدخال المنطقة في دوامة الفوضى المدمرة لا الخلاقة. وهنا يجب على العرب أن يتحسبوا من هذه اللحظة.

الاجتماع الذي دعا إليه الرئيس الأميركي جورج بوش، وهنا أشدد على كلمة اجتماع لا مؤتمر دولي كما فهم البعض، في أسوأ حالاته قد يوصل إلى الاستقرار السلبي، الذي كان قبل تفجر الوضع في الأراضي الفلسطينية. وفي أحسن حالاته، وإذا ما تخلينا عن إلقاء دروس التاريخ في هذه اللقاءات، قد يؤدي إلى حل للمشكلة. فقط نحن نحتاج إلى ابتلاع المرارة التي استطاع الهنود والسود واليابانيون ابتلاعها، وكذلك أن ندرك أن أولوية المظالم في المجتمع الدولي هي أمر خاضع لقوانين المنافسة وأن هناك من يسعون لوضع مظالمهم في المقام الأول دوليا. وأن نتذكر أنه لا يوجد سلام في العالم قائم على العدل، كما يتصور الحالمون منا. تاريخ صفقات السلام، لكل من درس ويدرس، دائما مبني على تفاوض بعد حروب كان فيها غالب ومغلوب. الأساس في العالم ليس السلام القائم على العدل وإنما السلام القائم على الظلم. أو في أحسن الحالات السلام القائم على درجة من الظلم يمكن التعايش معها.

كل هذا يتطلب منا نوعا من الواقعية وقليلا من المرونة. وليست هذه دعوة للاستسلام والخذلان، وإنما هي دعوة إلى الواقعية حتى لا نحتاج إلى خمسين عاما أخرى من النضال، وحتى لا نحتاج إلى مليون شهيد آخرين وملايين الأسر الثكلى. شيء من الرحمة وشيء من الواقعية من أجل الأجيال القادمة.

Last week, I had a 4 days trip to Kuwait for business and meetings also which didn't have a good start with 2 hours delay in the taking off for the Kuwaiti airlines from cairo and additional 2 hours delay at the airport because Sheraton didn't send my original visa to the immigration in the airport.

I had to work so much in these two days which didn't give me much time to hang out around the city but this isn't the only reason, the other one is that the weather is too hot, i assume it was around 55C or something! But I did enjoy having Lebanese food which is very nice.

The country is so fancy, the cheapest car there (for poor people) is Toyota Corolla and Mitsubishi Lancer!! lol

i do really enjoy traveling which adds to my experience alot and also to my knowledge.

Who knows what the next destination would be!! :)

I am just back from France, I had a short trip there for 4 days at which I was attending a WiMAX training in our headquarter in Velizy. The training was very good and the best side of it is meeting the people that I used to talk to on phone and emails but never met in person. I enjoyed staying with them and meeting them.

I really enjoyed my time in paris, I went to many places in this short time: Tour Efile, Arc De Triomphe, Louvre, Saint Michel, Notre-Dame, Grande Arche, Paris Disney Land and Versaille.

The most interesting thing is that I met Jen and Mike in Paris. They were having their vacation in Paris the same time I was getting my training which gave us the chance to hang out in Paris and we went together to versaille. What a chance!

Last week, I had a business trip to Algeria to have a meeting with Orascom Telecom there.
Algeria is a very nice country, very clean and the air is really fresh and clean (which you can't find in many places round the world). I didn't have much time to go around the country because I had plenty of work during that week but I enjoyed the stay there.

The only negative point that I noticed was that I didn't feel secure walking in the street. I didn't have this feeling while wondering around in Tunisia or in Lebanon but in Algeria, there was something about the people that you feel unsafe...

Last Friday, I had a short trip to north coast in Egypt, 40 Km far from Alexandria. I had this trip with my friends. It was really a nice day, swimming (although the water was freezing), playing soccer and having fun with friends.

It has been so long since i had similar trip may be 2 years or so. I really enjoyed the nice time I spent there.

It has been really so long since i last posted a blog, 8 months ago i think? Anyway, there have many updates in this period. Today, I am on a sick leave from work and working from a cafe using wifi.

I graduated in July 2006 meaning that now i am an official engineer holding a BSc in Communication and Electronics.

Starting august 2006, I started working for Alcatel-Lucent (www.alcatel-lucent.com) which at that time was holding the name Alcatel only. I joined the company as presales engineer for 2G, 3G and WiMAX (my favorite technology). I kept my job with TakingITGlobal as Arabic engagement coordinator. During August till November, I was able to manage both jobs since working at Alcatel wasn't that overloaded but starting November, I was really overloaded with work at Alcatel, used to work at night and in weekends.

By end of the year, I realized that i can't keep both things, TIG is so close place to me and hard to leave so i decided to leave engagement coordination and have an advisory role on arabic programs, something that keeps me involved with TIG.

Working at Alcatel-Lucent is really good. Despite having lots of work, still I love it. It seems like the thing i was seeking, half of my work is pure technical with mobile technologies and the other half is pure commercial meeting with our customers and presenting to them our offers and replies to tenders. Since that we in Egypt are the focal point for middle east, this allows me to interface not only to customers in egypt but also to many of them in the whole middle east. Two weeks ago, I was in business trip to Lebanon and next month, I might visit Algeria and Bahrain.

But since starting this new job and my life has taken another route because I have to leave my city and live in Cairo. Alcatel-Lucent headquarter in Egypt is in the smart village near Cairo. I only go home in Alexandria during the weekends.

The most important thing is that my relation with my beloved girl is going very well and I am really enjoying.

Long update, hah! one last thing is that I am wearing eye glasses now!!!!

It has been nearly a year since last logged in, I even forgot my password, and had to retrieve it. Why I am on my page after a year? Do not know, a kind of nostalgia, maybe digging my memory for a reminder for whom I used to be. Life changes us so suddenly, and so cruely, that when you sit down and think whom I was, some time ago, just cannot figure it out.
